Salary: Up to £40,000 GBP + performance bonus of £15k + car allowance, travel allowance, phone and laptop.

This is a well-established company in China and they are setting up UK office with a view to becoming a major player in the food business, here in the UK. The company supplies food, pet-food, feed ingredients and dehydrated, fresh, frozen vegetables to organisations globally. As a member of the small team of 5 you will be responsible for helping to set up the UK organisation and introduce the products to potential clients and as such will be in a very strong position to develop your career quickly and will have real independence on a work on a day to day basis. -This role is a FIELD SALES B2B position and you will be able to work remotely.
-Target audience: Food manufacturers around the UK
-Your product: food ingredients, including flavours and nutritional supplements.
The role
- Making appointments (cold calling) to introduce your products to food manufacturers
- Visiting potential clients around the Greater London area
- You will be working from a curated list of prospects as well as leveraging your own contacts list within the food sector
- Meeting clients face to face
- Working to the highest quality standards for food supplements and flavourings at all times
- producing quotations and agreeing supply timetables and prices based on quantities
- attending trade shows where you will meet current and potential clients within the food industry
- Closing deals and signing contracts
- Staying in touch with clients to develop a pipeline of repeat business
- Liaising with the HQ factory in China re stock
- Developing delivery systems for clients
- You will need to be in the office in Welwyn, at least once a week, depending on the requirements of clients and the business
Required skills/experience
- Previous experience within Food / Ingredients / FMCG industries
- B2B sales background
