Mandarin Speaking PR Account Director (Part-time)

Job Title: Mandarin Speaking PR Account Director
Location: Central London
Type: Part-time (3 days a week) with possibility of turning into full-time in the future
Salary: Basic up to £55K annually and then prorated to reflect the 3 days

The Company:

Our client is a small, specialist PR agency with a focus on Chinese speaking markets. You will work directly with the owner and help grow the agency through bringing in new business. There is opportunity to work remotely from home and there will be occasional travel to China depending on client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Generate new business and identify growth opportunities with existing clients
• Develop and maintain existing relationships
• Meet client face to face in order to understand fully their businesses
• Negotiate and renew contracts with clients
• Develop Chinese-market marketing and communications strategy for clients
• Undertake PR campaigns including looking after media relations
• Pitch new stories to Journalists
• Create WeChat and other social media campaigns
• Organise client events
• Produce Chinese content for clients
• Translation of documents from English to simplified Chinese and vice versa if needed
• Undertake market research and review your clients’ competitor activities
• Liaise with suppliers
• Manage and mentor a small team

Requirements:

• Native Chinese (Mandarin) and English (fluent);
• Degree educated;
• Previous PR agency experience in the UK;
• Team management experience;
• Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
