Job Title: Mandarin Chinese Speaking Telecom Procurement Manager

Job Location: London

Salary Range: Total package up to £45K depending on experience

Status: Permanent, full-time

Languages: English & Mandarin Chinese

Company: Global telecoms company with hubs across Europe including Austria, the UK and France as well as in China. There are real opportunities with this organization as it expands with new hubs being established in Eastern Europe. Role: This is a mixed role with 80% being vendor sourcing and vendor relationship management with 20% related to training of internal staff on the new products.

Vendor Management

• Sourcing new suppliers of IT Hardware, Software, Licensing, IT consultancy IT/IP, System Integration and r professional services for clients based in the EMEA and Asia-Pacific region
• Research and then identify new suppliers/vendors for products and for professional services
• Approach new suppliers, negotiate pricing, quality standards, and supply schedules
• Set up agreed SLA standards with vendors (checking product quality and delivery)
• Vendor relationship management: establish great working relationships with vendors and always seek to strengthen these via face to face contact and regular visits
• Ensure transparency in the efficient buying of goods and services

Internal Communications

• Liaise with internal key client Account Managers to gain an understanding of what their clients need before sourcing new products that address these requirements
• Provide internal Account Managers with product knowledge
• Organise and coordinate workshops and training for Account Managers on new products

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous procurement experience in telecom/IT/IP
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English
• Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
