Our client is a Global Financial Group offering banking, securities and investment management services, providing a wide range of bespoke financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, and individuals.
They are looking for an Operations individual for Equities, Bonds and Funds. This is a maternity cover role with the opportunity to become permanent.
Main duties:
- Monitoring settlements, maturities, corporate actions…etc. across multiple platforms
- Reconciling cash and collateral positions on a daily basis across client and broker platforms
- Setting up new contracts in our back office system (Eclipse) daily and mapping against MIFID regulations
- Maintaining a separate client portfolio of cash and collateral for a large banking client, ensuring correct data is entered
- Liaising with multiple counterparties across different time zones to ensure things are completed in a timely manner
- Producing a daily settlements report for finance, ensuring enough funds are free to cover settlements
- Completing transfers of Equities, Bonds, Funds and F&O between brokers
- Inputting and settling assignments weekly, as well as each third Friday
Required skills:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- In depth knowledge of inputting position movements in an equities platform
- Understanding of different markets such as CREST, EUROCLEAR, DTC…etc.
- Logical thinker.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Equities and Funds
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills, escalating any issues accordingly.
- Investigative and inquisitive nature; willing to review data before passing through
