Our client is market leader in designing, manufacturing, and distributing of mobile phone accessories in the UK and Europe. They are now expanding and looking for a Mandarin Speaking buying/purchasing executive to support their growth. You will be reporting to the Head of Purchasing and the company offers great benefits including continued personal development (CPD) to support your career growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Support Purchasing Department
- Raise purchasing orders and ensure smooth completion of the process
- Ensure all purchasing related queries and issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently and maintain good levels of communication with all stakeholders
- Maintaining the product life cycle in correlation with new products/device launches
- ETA reporting and monitoring
- Inbound logistical planning – clearing products through customs with relevant carriers
- Produce relevant reports such as pricing reports, demand reports, etc.
- Ensure ERP system and records are accurate and up to date
- Support purchasing department on other relevant duties as required
- Coordinate with other internal teams
- Ensure Sales Department is up to date with all relevant information and pricing (product quotes, expected delivery dates, pricing, product development, etc.)
- Act as a point of contact between Sales, purchasing, finance and Warehouse departments
- Assist with any other departments as required
- Supplier management
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Communicate and manage deal pricing from suppliers
- Ensure suppliers are meeting delivery dates
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent;
- Relevant experience in purchasing administration or buying, ideally in FMCG;
- Experience with an ERP system is a plus;
- Exceptional attention to details;
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese Mandarin and English;
- Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions.
