Treasurer, Global Markets

This company is a fast growing Global Markets business, based in superb offices in the City. They are looking for a Treasurer who will be responsible for monitoring corporate liquidity and investments related to the Company’s financial activities. The Treasurer will report to the Treasury Committee and Executive Committee.

The role is a newly created position, offering scope and career progression for the right individual.

The main responsibilities are (but not limited to):

• Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and funds available for investment
• Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
• Suggest measures for equity financing and debt financing
• Present proposals on fund investments
• Monitoring foreign currency exposure and foreign currency payments
• Analysing various scenarios and risks and reporting to senior management
• Forecasting of medium and long- term funding and hedging requirements (if applicable)
• Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
• Preparing management and board reports

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Extensive experience in treasury accounting including FX, liquidity and cash flow (UK and international)
• Strong experience in hedging, investments, bank account management
• Good understanding of financial markets, various financial instruments, debt instruments and particularly derivatives
• Strong knowledge of capital requirement rules and regulations
• 3+ years treasury experience in a major organisation
• Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team
• Experience working at senior level and reporting to Executives
• Appropriate handling of sensitive information
• Excellent time management and organizational ability
• High level of attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Advanced Excel skills. Intermediate in other Microsoft packages
