Salary : Up to £53,000 + excellent benefits ( discounts on products, bonus scheme of 10% and other benefits)

The Purchasing Team is now looking for a new team member to join them as they expand their buying team within the category of Store Equipment. This is a fast-paced role and offers real opportunities for career advancement. You will be given real budgetary responsibility and the opportunity to become an expert in this expanding area of retail.

Duties

You will be working on a portfolio of purchasing projects from requisition onwards and tight deadlines. This is a busy role and there will be some travel involved.

Existing Supplier relationship management

• Liaising with current suppliers of equipment, being aware of new products and store requirements
• Ensuring that existing suppliers meet their KPI’s, delivery deadlines etc
• Providing suppliers with performance feedback in a diplomatic and helpful fashion
• Overseeing all project costs and budgets
• Preparing status reports on deliveries, costs and reporting issues to senior personnel
• Preparing the re-tender process and overseeing contract renewals

New supplier relationships

• Managing the tender process for new suppliers based in Germany
• Helping to negotiate contracts
• Budget planning (Excel)

General ad hoc admin tasks

• Analysing business processes
• Liaising with internal and external teams
• Generating new ideas to improve efficiency
• Presenting ideas to senior and Board level colleagues

Requirements

• Fluent German
• Degree educated
• Previous experience in Purchasing or Procurement is essential
• Bid management experience (tenders /contract /bid management) is essential
• Driving licence
