TITLE : Supply Chain LOGISTICS Manager EMEA
Team: Supply Chain covering Spain/France and parts of Central Europe
Salary : Total Compensation of £61,400
(comprised of a base of £49,000 plus 10% bonus + car allowance of £7,750)
Location: Buckinghamshire (WFH currently)
Sector: Non-profit
Languages required: Fluent English or French
The Company
Global buying organisation across perishable and foods sector. The company works on a non-profit basis using bulk buying to get the best prices on perishable goods to its clients and has suppliers across farms, food manufacturers, storage and refrigeration . The company is going through a massive digital transformation process at the moment and this will drive even more cost savings and efficiencies. The company has well over 50,000 clients globally and is expanding fast even in the current situation . You will manage complex logistics, visit and manage well established supplier relationships and be part of the continuing success and growth of the company .
The role
The working language here will be English or French and there will (eventually) be international travel involved to visit your distributor network
Distribution Logistics:
- Liaise with distributors to identify cost savings
- Understand that goods are perishable , and manage delivery -to -store on time and within SLA’s
- Constantly review service levels for distributors and identify opportunities for innovative delivery scheduling
- Set KPI’s for new distributors
- Visit suppliers around the UK and in Europe and review monthly service standards
- Checkout price-changes
- Track distributor performance
- Ensure that there is harmonization across all the distributors in terms of their delivery capabilities
- Identify weaknesses in the distribution network and undertake ” mock tests
Bid Management
- Source new distributors across territories
- Develop and manage Bids
- Negotiate contracts and routes
Ongoing Research
- Keep up to date on food trends
- Constantly review the company’s competitive advantage,
- Identify potential threats, emerging technology, market opportunities
Requirements
- Fluent English or fluent French
- Supply chain experience (within the food sector ideally)
- Logistics and distribution experience
- Car driver
