Job Title: Mandarin Chinese speaking Financial Controller/Accountant

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + company benefits

Sponsorship: NO. You must be in possession of a visa.

Language required: Native standard Mandarin Chinese and fluent English

The company

This is a high profile and prestigious global property development and asset management company headquartered in Hong Kong. It is in “growth mode” and is developing projects in China as well as internationally (Australia, England, America, etc.). The company has a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility and its awareness of environmental impact is an important element in its success as it strives to reduce the impact of construction activities on the environment.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be part of the decision-making team:

Management reporting :

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Produce intercompany reconciliations, approve payments and purchase requests
• Liaise with auditors, tax office, valuators, insurers, and other external parties
• Ensure compliance in terms of local statutory and tax reporting
• Develop robust forecasting systems and models.
• Identify new trends, risks, and opportunities, communicating these to senior management
• Put together funding proposals
• Oversee new projects & forecast development expenditure for projects
• Lead the overall annual business planning and budget setting process within the division
• Responsible for timely draw downs on existing loans.
• Maintain relationships with existing and potential lenders, ensuring all loan covenants are met

REQUIREMENTS

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS GAAP
• Previous experience of real estate preferred
• Fluent written and spoken Mandarin and English
