Salary : Total comp of : £119,500 per annum

(Comprised of £88k with 25% bonus and a car allowance or circa £9500+ further education training support )

THE COMPANY

Global contact service centre providing an international centralised food and drinks purchasing ” hub” for clients within hospitality and works on a non-profit basis using bulk buying to get the best prices on foods and other perishable goods to its clients and has suppliers across farms, food manufacturers, storage and refrigeration . The company is going through a massive digital transformation process at the moment and this will drive even more cost savings and efficiency’s. The company has well over 50,000 clients globally and is expanding fast even in the current situation.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast changing, fast paced global food organisation and to use your knowledge and expertise to “hit the road running” and really make your mark.

This is a key strategic role and you will be working alongside the Commercial Director to develop and steer indirect and commercial services procurement strategies right across the EU. You will directly manage an annual budget of £75m and will manage 1) very senior stakeholder relationships and 2) a high performing team.

Team Management

• Leading and motivating the growing procurement team ( 3 staff: across Germany/France/UK)
• Encouraging and developing a team culture of developing innovative solutions that exceed client needs
• Recruiting, coach and mentor the team and identify skills short falls

Sourcing strategy

• Driving the category management and sourcing strategy to ensure value for money
• Working on a wide range of procurement projects across multiple direct and indirect categories and developing long term category strategies
• Working on the full end-to-end procurement life cycle and managing key business stakeholders & complex procurement accounts within a restrictive time frame
• Working with the Commercial Director to create and implement category strategies in line with business targets and objectives
• New supplier sourcing: Identify new potential suppliers using them to increase competition or benchmark existing supplier base
• Establish high performing contracts with suppliers ensuring clarity and visibility of commercial terms and designed to protect the system, manage risk and drive performance
• Design and implement appropriate procurement processes, procedures and stablish performance measures

Stakeholder Relationship management

• Providing subject matter expertise to all stakeholders
• Encourage effective partnering with stakeholders on all levels

Board meetings

• Attend and present at quarterly Board Meetings

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous Team Management in Procurement
• Experience in managing a large annual spend
• Experience of designing & implementing a sourcing strategy in a complex business environment
• Degree educated
• Either Fluent French or fluent German

This role may suits someone with a business procurement consultancy background.
