German Sales Executive (Education)

Title: Scientific Academic Publishing Sales Executive ( DACH)

Contract type: Maternity cover contract of approx. 9 months
Languages required: fluent German and good spoken French

Sector : Media and publishing

Salary : £30,000- £38,000 pro rata + Commission

Location: WFH until further notice . Eventually this is an office based role in London

The role

You will be working for one of the most well-respected academic journals in the world. The company is a leading light in all things related to the environment, health and medicine and is read by university lecturers and scientists and anyone interested in the new advancements and discoveries in the world of science

This is a maternity leave position and you will be provided with full training. At the moment it is a contract role, but for the right person, there will be permanent opportunities within the company.

Duties

You will be given full training and will work to “contact” targets :

The role is 70% existing client Relationship Management and you will work with a well established, highly educated , client base:

• Reach out to various University Heads of Department and scientific teams across Germany ( and France) who use this publication to publish important findings and scientific developments
• Liaise with pharmaceutical companies, research institutes and government bodies and promote the benefits of advertising for ” open roles” in a specialist journal
• Creating sponsorship packages
• Processing and uploading specialist job adverts on behalf of the scientists
• All follow-up to see how the job advert performed
• Adding important key words into job adverts
• Liaising with heads of departments, faculty heads, lab managers and chancellors.
• 30% of the role: Upselling additional services including display ads, podcasts, salary surveys and editorially led webcasts
• Promoting high value specialist services such as an Index for the scientific ranking of Universities

Requirements

• Fluent German and ideally fluent French
• Experience in outbound calling or lead generation
• Degree educated
