This is one of the most well-respected global research firms in the UK and it has carved a specialist niche within FINANCE. Its clients are all major financial services institutions, and it maps and anticipates trends and new developments within the finance sector (this included credit card companies), explores competitor advantages thereby helping decision makers to make sound business decisions based on real evidence-led insights.
We are looking for ambitious and commercially aware Senior Consultants for the Business Consulting team, who have capabilities managing multiple types of projects, with established project management, client management, output creation, desk and primary research skills. You candidate must have experience in a research or consulting environment on the agency side.
Duties
Project management
- Managing mid-large multi-market research/faceted projects with sole responsibility from start to finish
- Conducting complex and sensitive in-depth interviews with market experts, competitors, key players customers and prospects (B2B) and building a network of contacts
- The constant, continuous management of projects – Strong PM experience:
- Hands on – being responsible solely for the output of the team
- Training and upskilling reports working on projects
- Delivering the project from start to finish
- Managing a team of at least ¾ people on projects – potentially more and managing multiple teams and multiple projects at the same time
Report writing
- Creating research reports that give compelling insight into markets and competitors
- Attend high level client meetings, writing proposals, pitching
- Writing thought leadership pieces and white papers
Events
- Attending and also speaking at events
- Developing a reputation for thought leadership
- Driving new business acquisition and following up event attendees
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in research / consulting environment with a genuine interest / passion in market research methods
- Complete fluency in English (precise written English is a must). Languages such as Italian, German, French and Spanish as a second language are a strong advantage.
- A 1st or 2:1 class degree and strong academics – Economics or Business degree preferred / Qualifications should include a strong and demonstrable quantitative or qualitative element
- A demonstrable passion / interest in Financial Services, previous research / consulting experience in financial services / payments would be a strong advantage
- Experience in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations and delivering them confidently to c-suite / senior-level clients
