The Company

This is one of the fastest growing trading company in the UK with a thriving import, and also a wholesale, business. The company has multiple stores across the UK and has just opened a large flag ship store in the Leicestershire area. Food, supermarkets and all things related to e-commerce is a rapidly changing sector and represents growth opportunities for those looking to build a career in this sector .

You will be joining a multilingual team and the company has a flexible work culture so you can work in part from home and in part from the London head office eventually.

Your role in a nutshell: Designing gorgeous and functional packaging in line with the branding, tastes and buying habits of shoppers .

The role:

• Design functional and attractive packaging
• Give design, print and finishing advice to internal teams
• Taking client briefs
• Daily use of design software to produce sample and then finished product
• Liaise closely with the Procurement team to deliver packaging designs that work well for new items, promotions and overall branding
• Manage costs and give price estimates for the cost of each project
• Keep up to date with packaging trends and innovate where you can
• Liaising with clients and also with new suppliers

Requirements

• Proven experience in packaging design
• Knowledge of the UK/China packaging marketplace and supplier landscape
