You will be working for one of the most prestigious Translation companies in the world specializing in technical, legal and financial translations for a global clientele. This company employs only the best graduate translators looking to gain entry into the translation services sector and develop a career. The company is now looking to take on a graduate level proof-reader who will check and verify the work of translators and manage quality control. The company actively promotes graduates internally so offers some of the finest career opportunities for linguists in the UK in this field.
The role:
* Word-by-word checking of translations
* Checking documents in German that have already been translated
* Liaising with external translators primarily in English
* Liaising with various internal departments regarding quality control
* You will be working within a team of 60 proof-readers and checkers
* You will have the opportunity to train and develop into a fully-fledged in-house translator, project manager or administrator
Requirements:
* Degree from a recognized University (1 or 2:1)
* Excellent language skills and a good power of concentration
* Fluent English (must be mother tongue standard)
* Fluent in German (must be to mother tongue standard)
