About the company
Our client is an international e-commerce business specialising in eye care medical products. They are looking for an Spanish Copywriter to produce and develop copy and content for their Spanish website. This role will appeal to an individual who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and would love to become part of a rapidly growing e-commerce business.
About the role
The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing and creating marketing and web copy. A natural storyteller with an entrepreneurial edge to bring value to the business through compelling content for multiple channels such as commercial pages, blog posts, marketing emails, social media pages and more. This role will be responsible for delivering first-class copy, shaping and driving the content for the Spanish market.
The role sits within the copy team alongside other copywriters for our other markets. We work collaboratively and encourage all team members to contribute their ideas to planning content.
Role responsibilities
- Produce copy for the Spanish website
- Create and write content for social media channels and marketing emails
- Translate and optimise from UK copy for the Spanish website
- On-page SEO recommendations (internal links, providing copy for meta data)
- Maintain and improve SEO rankings for IT keywords
- Optimisation of existing content
- Plan the editorial calendar for website content such as blogs, articles and informational pages
- Conduct appropriate keyword research to ensure copy is optimised
- Content optimisation for the transactional purchase user journey content
- Monitor and share learnings on market trends and competitors
- Report on project status to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate on marketing research by moderating periodic interviews with potential users (occasional travels to Spain may be needed)
Requirements
- Native Spanish speaker with excellent communication skills
- Strong English skills (written and verbal)
- Min. 2 years’ experience writing copy for ecommerce websites, with an emphasis on SEO
- Understanding of markets’ specificities and provide copy that fits culture and way of communicating
- Experience of using SEO tools, CMS (CoreMedia/Magento or similar)
- Understanding of Spanish local health industry (desirable)
- Creative content writer who can engage and convert website visitors into customers
- Confident with writing both short and long form pieces of content
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, time management and teamwork skills
- Good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and the importance of good copywriting for improving rankings
