Our client is looking for a Garment Technologist to join their fashion team to work with women’s Plus size apparel. You will be working to complete specialist technical tasks including fitting and technical product development.

Experience working with plus size is a MUST!

You will be working on women’s and men’s adult apparel technical product development and fitting (including activewear, sleep, swimwear):

Duties:

• Expert in the field of apparel technology including manufacturing, fit, construction and/or fabric/ raw materials
• Plus size experience essential
• Excellent communication skills across global locations (E.G. Technical, Design, Product Developers, Vendor base and global offices)
• Customer focused, multitask orientated, working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
• Can lead with confidence fit sessions on live models or body-forms with multiple stakeholders in attendance (in person or virtually)
• Experience in briefing and specifying technical requirements for direct design sourced product, working with Buying and Design to create Tech Packs
• Ability to manage departmental data and leverage systems to enable strategic reporting
• Understanding of global sizing, grading, pattern development and sizing conversions (UK/EU/US) on plus size women’s apparel product

Required skills

• Degree/Course in relevant subject
• 7+ years of similar industry based relevant experience, ideally at a global retailer
• Plus size experience essential
