Salary Total comp of £71,550
Salary is comprised of 3 elements: 1) Base salary £58,000 + 2) £5,800 bonus + 3) car allowance of £7,750
Company: Global food purchasing organisation that works on behalf of clients within hospitality to get them the best prices on the bulk buying of their ingredients using the power of economies of scale and the talents of the Purchasing team
The Role: This is a strategic role and will suit someone who has direct experience in this area but who wants to build on their success. You will support agreed global and local strategies, projects and deals on products
Duties
- Management of category items within Beverages, Snacks, Bakery and Sauces
- Achieve quality compliance
- Negotiate new contracts and deals across beverages and snacks
- Liaise constantly with suppliers and undertake tenders
- Ensure that there is accurate allergen, ingredient and nutritional information across all items for sale
- Develop new sourcing strategies and develop mutually profitable relationships with new suppliers
- Identify opportunities to reduce total cost/drive profitability.
- Negotiate beverage and snack deals for all markets across Europe
- Close relationship with US Legal team to ensure contractual agreements adhere to tender agreements
- Manage relationships with key suppliers including Coke, Pepsi, Danone, Nestle and other beverage and snack suppliers
- Visit suppliers regularly across Europe and foster trust
- Analise complex financial proposals
Requirements
- Previous Purchasing experience is essential (ideally food/beverage)
- Another European language (not essential)
- Degree educated
