Position: Chinese Speaking Business Development Manager (Cross-border Payment)
Location: London, UK (WFH)
Salary: £50,000 + uncapped commission (Negotiable to excellent candidates with potential leads in the industry)
About the company
Our client is a leading Fintech company aiming to deliver one-stop global payment solutions, specializing in travel, retail, e-commerce marketplace, and digital entertainment. Due to fast growing in the UK/Europe market, they are now looking for an experienced BD manager to join the team.
About You
You should have an understanding of payment industry (product feature, technical integration, Payment Channel development, local regulatory requirement, co-marketing, etc.) and take responsibility for crafting thoughtful partnership and product strategies that help drive the growth of the company. In this role, you will develop and execute payment methods partnership strategies and programs to enable our product and business strategy; work with product and engineering teams to identify product gaps that can be addressed through partnerships. negotiate commercial agreements, manage the execution of large scale cross functional projects, identify local payment partners need and develop long-terms/short-term business development strategy. You should be passionate craft new, innovative e-commerce experiences with merchants and local partners. This would require strong interest and ability to understand clients’ need. You will work closely and effectively with senior executives and business, product and engineering teams in the headquarters in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
- Expand merchant base such as market place, ecommerce platform, OTA platform etc. in EMEA market;
- Be familiar with different products and services of the company, collect and sort out the needs of out partners and clients, communicate and work with product and partnership team to provide corresponding solutions as required;
- Develop and maintain the brand image and partner relationship utilizing the high-level relationship of internal and external partners.
- Expanding marketplaces partnerships
- Local Sales (including Acquiring, Collection and Virtual card)
- Work with Compliance, IT, Risk Control etc. on local license application .
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or above, 5 years working experience, including 1 years or above cross-border payment working experience, third-party cross-border payment company working experience is preferred;
- Familiar with the business structure and process of cross-border payment, knowledge of foreign exchange transaction and cross-border settlement;
- Expertise building business cases around market opportunities and partnerships – including strategy development, market segmentation, competitive analysis, and financial analysis.
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong logical thinking ability, rigorous, patience, and strong sense of responsibility.
Ability to influence without authority, sell concepts internally and actively drive decision-making across stakeholders.
