The Company

This is one of the fastest growing in the UK with a thriving import, and also a wholesale, business. The company has multiple stores across the UK and has just opened a large flag ship store in the Leicestershire area. Food, supermarkets and all things related to e-commerce is a rapidly changing sector and represents growth opportunities for those looking to build a career in this sector .

You will be joining a multilingual team and the company has a flexible work culture so you can work in part from home and in part from the London head office eventually.

Your role in a nutshell: You will join the Procurement team. The aim of this role is to increase sales and profit margin through effective product procurement, development, promotion and then distribution.

Duties

• Work with internal and external teams in purchasing, warehouse, marketing and finance as well as working with factories/suppliers in China.
• Source new products that appealing to the local market and new suppliers
• Set KPI’s for suppliers to meet in terms of quality, delivery and stock levels
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with new suppliers while building long term relationships
• Review supplier performance against agreed service levels
• Liaise internally with the branding and merchandising teams

Requirements

• FMCG or Home-ware background is essential
• Experience working in a buyer role in relevant industry
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills · Highly analytic with good presentation skills
