Objective This is an outstanding entry level opportunity for an ambitious numerate Graduate to be part of a formal training and mentoring programme where you will be developed into a specialist economist. You will be based in Dusseldorf and be trained to produce industry- leading insights into finance, payment systems and banking as these sectors now change rapidly in line with new developments that range from innovations in blockchain to new payment mechanism across all retail. This consultancy is at the very cutting edge of changes that fundamentally transform the way that we all shop and how business is transacted around the world. In this highly unusual role, you will become an expert and a thought-leader. This is a very academic research role. You will need to research government regulations, trade bodies, competitor services etc.
The role even more exceptional in that you will be offered the genuine opportunity to develop your career, and will be part of a structured training and mentoring programme. You will be on a six- month formal industry training plan as well as on a personalized mentoring plan to support your personal goals and long-term potential.
The role : 3 elements : 1)Analyse-2)Write-3) Present This is a macro-economics role
- 1)Analyse data provided internally and provided by trade associations, government bodies, The US Fed and the US DOJ review thought- leadership materials and aggregate findings
- 2)Write detailed reports, blogs, articles and white papers . These are presented to governments, regulators, trade associations, large merchants and journalists
- 3)Present findings in open webinars, to trade associations economic policymakers and organizations such as the EU Commission, the Fed, and the US DOJ
- Attending marketing events including conferences and webinars
Requirements
- Relevant mathematics , finance or Economics Degree (with a minimum of a 2.1 from a UK University or 2.3 scoring from a German University)
- Confident using Excel
- Fluent German and English
- Happy to be based in Dusseldorf
The interview process will include verbal, numerical and excel tests
