Job Description:
Our client is a global technology business. They are looking for a talented HR professional to help accelerate their growth and ability to serve their customers by joining the Merger & Acquisition Human Resources (M&A HR) team.
You will partner with the internal HR, Centres of Excellence, Business HR Business Partners, Corporate Development Integration Leaders, and acquired leadership teams through all phases of a M&A projects. This role will be based in the UK, but will have a global scope, supporting acquisitions across all geographies and business lines.
The ideal candidate has a passion for owning and driving process and operational improvement, and a track record of thinking outside the box to deliver innovations on behalf of customers.
The right candidate will possess a hybrid program/project management background with demonstrated experience leading simultaneous initiatives as well as extensive experience across the breadth of Human Resources workstreams. The team works in a fast-paced, global environment and someone who thrives working on high-profile projects, enjoys travel and is comfortable interacting with a wide range of HR and business professionals across all levels would be well-suited for this role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Help to continuously improve the M&A program & tools by identifying ways to improve the employee or customer experience – via automation, simplification or other types of process improvement; partnering cross-functionally to influence and implement change.
- Provide hands-on support and project management in all HR matters for M&A deals from due diligence through integration phases and ultimately through transition to business HR teams.
- Partner with key HR subject matter experts to deliver solutions for integration issues such as: immigration, recruiting, benefits, compensation, payroll, time and attendance, retirement plans, stock/equity, HR compliance, employee relations, organisation design, diversity & inclusion, talent management, and performance management.
- Drive appropriate M&A and country due diligence and integration activities, including job levelling together with other relevant HR functions.
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders by helping to resolve any issues/questions.
- Ensure M&A HR tools, best practices and lessons learned are implemented and communicated within the internal HR teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive experience (ideally with a minimum of 5 years) as a Project Manager/Program Manager/Business Partner in Human Resources or with M&A integration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or MA HR)
- Broad experience across all Human Resources specialist areas including talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, HR compliance, HRIS/HR services, payroll, employee relations, organisation design/development, talent and performance management
- Demonstrated expertise in process management; Six Sigma/green belt certification preferred
- Experience leading global program initiatives and/or process improvement efforts
- Proficiency in project planning methodologies and tools, ability to scale tools (e.g. excel-based) to automated solutions (e.g. project management tools with automated dependency management)
- Strong business acumen and ability to work effectively across business lines and varying cultures.
- Ability to navigate internally to leverage existing recruiting programs and best practices
- Bias for action, excellent attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow-through
- Ability to multi-task and handle various projects simultaneously to drive timely results
- Ability to prioritise effectively and facilitate action across remote groups
- Ability to convey recommendations and ideas in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively with a wide variety of audiences – technical and business clients, HR functions, and all levels of employees
- Ability to travel as needed, often on short notice (frequency will vary)
