£25,000 basic – £30,000 basic depending on experience

We are looking for a Conference Producer to join our client’s content team. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing market. They work in a fast-paced environment so this role is best suited to a quick learner who can meet deadlines under pressure. The candidate will need to be hardworking, have a good telephone manner and be determined. They will need to be equally able to work independently as well as part of a team. And will need to have the ability to build effective working relationships through good communication.
The role involves a mixture of home and office working and tasks include attending in-person and virtual events on the day.
The employer is an events company based in central London with an established reputation for delivering high quality in-person and virtual cyber security events across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Tasks include:
Know the cyber security market well
The delegates and sponsors have come to expect market leading events from our client in terms of educational value. The team must know the market inside out:
- Stay up to date with online material
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews
- Run and manage online polls and surveys
Ensure quality agendas for upcoming events
- Provide support and briefings to the speaker acquirer team
- On some events acquire event speakers directly and meet speaker targets
- Liaise with confirmed event speakers to direct their presentation topics
- Put agendas together keeping all stakeholders happy
- Work with all speakers to help them prepare their event materials on time and to the highest of standards
- For virtual events moderate content on the day
- For physical events keep the plenary room running smoothly and on time
- Complete various tasks before, during and after the event related to the agenda
- Complete admin tasks such as updating the CRM system and company records
- Suggest new types of events
Generate content for use across the company
- Analyse research and data to write various reports, online content and documents on an ad hoc basis
- Continually work alongside all teams internally to gradually improve their market knowledge and understanding
Provide holiday cover for the marketing department
- Be trained in sending out email marketing and schedule occasional sends in order to be in good practice
Requirements
- Previous conference production and experience of working with conference and event speakers (desirable)
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Fluent in English to a high standard (Both written and spoken) essential.
- Previous experience providing administrative and marketing support
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with digital content (desirable)
- Outstanding organisational skills, working in a systematic manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident working hands on with different departments conveying the right message and needs
- Tech savvy, good computer skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing attention to detail
- Ambitious and eager, able to take ideas and visualise their pathways to implementation
