Tax Manager

Job Description:
Global tech and logistics business, looking for an experienced Tax Manager. You will provide support within the Local Consumer Tax team working in indirect taxes, particularly excise duty and/or VAT/transactional based taxes (e.g., coffee/sugar/plastics/chemical taxes). Advisory experience is desirable any you must have a good working knowledge of cross border supplies (international and intra-EU).
Main duties:
- Assisting the Local Consumer Taxes Team with the implementation/application and interpretation of local consumer tax legislation, identifying and likely impact for the organisation.
- Working with key stakeholders within the business to establish and implement tax requirements.
- Supporting the compliance team with ongoing compliance requirements/technical queries for relevant taxes.
Key skills:
- Experience: 5+ years working in indirect taxes, preferably (in order of preference) excise taxes, environmental taxes, customs duty, VAT.
- Experience working in advisory and/or in-house desired, good retail knowledge preferred.
- Must have a good working knowledge of EU taxes framework for indirect taxes, key areas being excise and environmental taxes.
- Should be good at problem solving, using initiative to make decisions, clear communicator and proficient in excel/data analysis and presentation.
- Must have the ability to work on multiple projects at once and be able to demonstrate real time milestone/project tracking.
