This is a highly academic research role and will only suit someone who is passionate about embarking on a role within Research and who is looking to develop themselves into a sector experts. You will learn the skills that will help you extrapolate trends from data and will contextualise this to take into consideration economic and political events.
You will be writing detailed reports and thought leadership pieces. Full office-based training and a senior level mentor will be provided to you and there is a genuine ( and rapid) career path into Project Management .
Duties
Undertaking intellectually rigorous and unbiased qualitative and quantitative financial sector research. This is an academic role.
- Research industry trends and economic data using latest financial information publications and other media
- Write detailed reports contextualising the data and drawing out conclusions
- Underpin desk research by contacting a network of established industry experts, asking them for professional advice and conducting detailed exploratory surveys
- Attend financial services conferences and talks in-order to gain new insights and contacts
- Aggregate research, mathematical data, survey and interview results into a written report
- You will manage multiple research projects from initial client enquiry through to conclusion and will have some direct client contact
- Full use of your language skills on a daily basis
Requirements
- Ideally a PhD or 1st class Degree from a top University
- Maths at GCSE
- A love of Research
ANY additional language would be useful but is not essential
