Business Analyst (Excel)
About the company:
Our client is one of the leading research agencies in the UK. They have a team of experienced research professionals offering their clients a full range of consulting services, including face to face, telephone, and online data.
They are now looking for business analyst to join their team on a part-time basis. The candidate will be responsible for analysing datasets from clients and other available sources using Microsoft Excel.
You will be working directly with a team of consultants, reporting to the project manager where you will take responsibility in providing an easy-to-digest overview of the datasets so that insight may be gained, and to work with the team to iterate and improve the analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders (Consultants) to understand key reporting objectives
- Turn large quantities of complex data in Excel into insights which can be used to inform decision making and drive business benefit
- Design, maintain, and automate data reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability so to come up with new solutions to improve reporting
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of VBAs/macros not necessary)
- Basic research capabilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint would be beneficial
- 3+ years of experience in analysing large and complex datasets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organisation skills, and high attention to detail
