The client are looking to appoint a Head of Business Development with experience of working with UK SMEs and extensive knowledge of the finance and professional community to capitalise on growth opportunities. The successful candidate will work within the existing business development team and will be responsible for the generation and conversion of new business opportunities. The role is supported by a staff of over 30 colleagues, mostly of Chinese origin, separated into 6 departments focused on different aspects of investment projects.
Main duties:
* Growing the business, finding new opportunities, persuading clients to purchase services
* Set up BD annually/monthly target and plan, writing proposals and specifications
* Lead the BDD team in achieving its targets
* Crafting training programs
* Conduct performance management and disciplinary
* Conducting workshops / presentations
* Reviewing contract with potential new clients
* Collaboration with the other department and business partners
* Following up VIP new business opportunities and investors
* Managing and developing a network of introducer relationships, including identifying and persuading new target intermediaries
Required skills:
* Mandarin Chinese speaker
* A positive attitude and superb negotiation skills
* Have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced financial services or banking environment
