Language: Fluent English (Mandarin would be an advantage. Not essential)

Company : This company is at the very cutting edge of e-commerce and the supply chain and specialized in bringing goods from China, Hong Kong and Singapore to retailers globally . With 170 warehouses around the world, it supplies over 400,000 online and offline small and medium-sized retailers. With the dramatic growth in e-commerce and a huge interest in supporting smaller manufacturers, this company is now expanding fast and is looking to appoint a New business Key Account Manager who has experience working with large retailers and supermarkets such as M&S, Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury etc and who can leverage contacts and develop ( and then retain) large brands and supermarkets
The role is three-pronged: 1) contacting buyers at the large supermarkets and retailers 2) pitching 3) retention
This is a very consultative sales environment.
This role requires perfectly fluent written and spoken English. The company is in start-up mode in the UK but is already a huge player in China. At this stage, there are outstanding opportunities for the right person at this early stage in the life of this business.
The role
You will develop a profitable portfolio supermarket clients
- Contact buyers across supermarkets and big retailers
- Arrange on site appointments
- Present to buyers
- Negotiate on prices, quantities and delivery schedules
- Learn the client business and introduce complimentary products. Help to develop new products that are in line with the retailers’ shoppers and customer profiles
- Work to agreed and personalised sales targets ( likely to be the onboarding of 2-4 clients)
- Develop excellent working relationships with buyers across your retail clients
- Create good quality new marketing collateral alongside the Marketing team
- Put together in-store promotions to boost brand awareness
- With marketing, create email campaigns to stay in touch
- Check availability of stock and delivery schedules
- Retain and nurture clients
Requirements
- Experienced in managing key retail client relationships
- Proven track record of Sales and Account Management with larger retailers
