Contract : Permanent role . Fully office based for the first 6 months. Thereafter hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 WFH
Salary: to £40,000 + 10% of sales commission structure and additional bonus

Shipping is one of the oceans greatest polluters but this is changing and as part of the New Business Team within Shipping, you will be at the forefront of the fundamental changes that are impacting shipping and cargo companies. These are now required to reduce their carbon emissions and also want to move to more sustainable energy. But the businesses frequently don’t know where to start and how to make fundamental changes. Your role will be to approach shipping and logistics companies and make it easier for them to ” do the right thing” by showing them how. This is a meaningful sales role in a fast growth sector with serious earnings potential .
This role will only suit someone who is committed to helping businesses fight global warming and will use your expert sales skills to introduce businesses to the steps that they can actively take to reduce their carbon footprint.
DUTIES : This a client facing B2B role and a mix of New Business Development ( 80%) with Relationship Management (20%) in an expanding sector
- Introducing the service:
- Develop a list of shipping companies to approach
- Outbound calling and courtesy calling to shipping companies
- Advising companies on the steps they can take to reduce their carbon footprint
- Explain the commercial, moral imperative and commercial benefits of operating a business that supports a reduction in emissions
- Educate and guide clients every step of the way
- Set up meetings to explain practical steps they need to take (and the costs involved) in driving down carbon emmisions
- Attend networking events, meetings at Chambers of Commerce and Embassies
- Providing price quotations
- Managing the relationship :
- Client onboarding and advice
- Dealing with ongoing client queries and concerns
- Helping and advising the client who is looking to further develop their sustainability credentials
- Build your shipping network
REQUIREMENTS
- Passionate about the environment and be part of an environmental movement
- A solid B2B sales track record
- Fluent English . Greek would be helpful
- Ideally used to dealing with shipping companies
- Degree educated
