Location: This role is 100% home based but only from the UK

Salary : £45,000 to £50,000 (Depending on experience)

Languages required: Fluent English (Fluency in any European language would be a nice plus but not essential)

The company is global and offers the right person the opportunity to work remotely and autonomously to locate and manage teams of translators who will work on various language projects. You will manage a global team of vendors (translators) ensuring that they produce optimum quality work for your clients while you keep a great work-life balance in this fully remote senior position.

Duties

Relationship management:

• You will look after teams of translators
• Build strong relationship with your vendors
• Set up translation delivery times
• Ensure the translator understands the brief
• Liaise with clients regarding the quality of the translation pieces
• Negotiate translation rates with the translator
• Track and analyse vendor performance
• Create monthly reports with your recommendations

Locate and onboard new translators

• Locate and approach new translators for projects
• Test and onboard vendors to ensure continuous availability of translators
• Provide regular feedback to translation vendors
• Negotiate translation rates
• Train new translation services vendors
• Liaise with Universities in order to maintain a flow of junior translators.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Languages or Translation Studies, or a similar qualification
• experience within the translation industry
• A vendor management background
