Buyer Assistant
Our client is looking for a buyer assistant to support the purchasing department with the selection and procurement of goods. The assistant is responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, preparing retail and pricing strategies also placing and tracking purchase orders and managing inventory as well as keeping track of market trends. A successful buyer assistant should be highly organised with great communication skills. Also, you would need to be great in marketing and analysis skills.

This is one of the fastest growing trading companies in the UK with a thriving import, and also a wholesale, business. The company has multiple stores across the UK and has just opened a large flag ship store in the Leicestershire area.
Your role in a nutshell: You will join the Procurement team. The aim of this role is to increase sales and profit margin through effective product procurement, development, promotion and then distribution.

Salary: up to 25k
Working Hour: Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)
Responsibilities
- Assisting the buyer with the selection of the right product mix.
- Recording and tracking the purchase orders.
- Maintain relationship with supplier and vendor.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
- Research and recommend a new product for the buyer.
- Generate reports to the buyer.
Requirements
- Degree in business, marketing or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in the merchandising or retail industry in the UK market.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
