Pay rate: £170 to £197 per day (PAYE) + Holiday pay
Our client is one of the world’s largest Tech and On Demand video streaming providers. They are looking for a production coordinator to join their time. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with diverse and multicultural teams. The productions coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day organisational support across the organisation.
The production coordinator will also be responsible for tracking each show from development through production and delivery, as well as doing research and offering administrative support to the studio’s London-based Head of Production for the region.
We are looking for a confident candidate with a professional front-of-house manner as they will be interacting with internal and external stakeholders at the studio and show level. This is a growth opportunity for those passionate about business development, physical production, and the creative process, as the role requires an understanding of the symbiotic relationship between departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist Head of Production in sourcing, tracking, and organising lists of prospective internal and external film & TV production stakeholders (individuals, production companies and suppliers) in Nigeria, South Africa, Cairo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other potential locales in Africa and the Middle East
- Organise calls, meetings & travel with a focus on ensuring consistent communication and follow-ups with prospective partners in the region
- Assist Head of Production in commissioning and reviewing support documentation and reporting at all stages of scripted series and film projects from setup to delivery
- Interface weekly with Creative Team and Head of Production to ensure creative expectations remain aligned with the evolving production plan throughout development and prep
- Interface weekly and set meetings with other key internal stakeholders responsible for the region, inclusive of (but not limited to) Legal, Business Affairs, Operations, Health & Safety, Security, Music, Post Production, VFX
- Compile, distribute, and store production documents (e.g., contracts, call sheets, calendars, reports and schedules) on the studio network
- Track and process approvals and production payments with BA, Legal, and Finance
- Maintain a checklist for each show to ensure major milestones are met (e.g. pre-greenlight materials, development budget, production budget lock, HOD hire approvals lists, budget drafts approvals, kick-off calls, casting trackers and lists, wrap deliverables, international filming activity, etc.)
- Coordinate kick-off calls and manage agenda for weekly calls from development to delivery for each individual project
- Update and distribute studio contact lists and ensure that they are managed per studio
- Assist and facilitate general requests and communication to ensure shows fully understand and are adhering to studio guidelines and procedures
Requirement
- 5+ years TV/Film Production experience coordinating or production managing for a major studio, service, network or production company environment or as a freelancer on high-end projects.
- Experience in other areas of scripted production.
- Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and an aptitude for quickly learning new software and systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting & Scheduling
- Some creative experience in addition to physical production experience is a plus
- Basic Knowledge of Final Draft
