Our client is a global tech business, and owner of one of the world’s most renowned video streaming platforms. They are on the look out for an experienced Research Manager to join their live sports research team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on quantitative research projects, ideally on an international/EU scale. You should be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and take a lead on contact and resource responsibilities. You will be involved tracking studies related to live sports and manage EU wide large-scale surveys. You will also help improve communications and efficiencies, setup back-loop research, forums, and better data-storage.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, scope and manage the research roadmap for Live sports across EU in response to stakeholder requirements and business needs.
- Be a dedicated research point of contact and day to day resource for live sports marketing teams and respond to ad-hoc research requests and queries
- Scope, commission and manage bespoke primary research projects for live sports, including, but not limited to, understanding impact of live sports on brand health and perceptions as well as custom deep dives on customer behaviour
- Manage and evolve live sports tracking survey with a 3rd party tracking agency, including scaling up of reporting framework and socialisation of results.
- Audit existing research team mechanisms to ensure consistent approach for live sports and identify efficiencies to make in tracking and testing mechanisms moving forward
- Own and scale up talent tracking mechanism for live sports across EU countries
Requirements:
- Ideally 4-6 years of professional marketing research experience
- Strong academic background
- Experience using and analysing large volumes of data & metrics and research tools to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience in driving direction and alignment post research completion with cross-functional teams
- Excellent organisational skills and project/program management experience, particularly in terms of allocating resources and ability to partner with internal and external teams.
- Experience presenting metrics and progress up to senior leadership level
- Background and experience in sports research, preferably within EU countries
- Experience with survey tools such as Qualtrics
- [Preferred] Working functional proficiency with SQL and familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Qualtrics, SPSS, Q, etc.
