HR Advisor
The client we represent is a top-tier Chinese bank. They’re looking for an HR advisor who has prior experience working in Banking/Finance industry to join their London team. This role is 100% on-site in central London.
TITLE: HR advisor/officer
Contract: Permanent or 1 year contract
Salary: 35,000 to 55000 (Depending on experience)
Location: Central London
The role
- To implement and maintain the policies and procedures that reflect best practice and that are compliant with employment legislation and regulatory requirements
- To delivery support to hiring managers and key stakeholders to ensure their understanding of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- To ensure the development and maintenance of an induction programme that will ensure new hires receive the information they require to quickly integrate into the Bank and be aware of their responsibilities.
- To develop and implement initiatives to promote the engagement of employees in order to achieve high level business performance including development of the Bank’s corporate culture, performance management and communications, and to manage conflict, discipline and grievance resolution
- To develop an annual learning and development plan and work with business areas to identify the learning and development activities required to meet business and personal objectives
- To manage remuneration and benefits to ensure that the Bank is able to attract and retain its employees
- To manage relationship with benefits suppliers
- To manage employees relationship
- To ensure the efficient delivery of the monthly payroll process
- To ensure that payroll processes are compliant with legislation and HMRC regulations.
- To ensure that all expatriate assignments are managed in line with the Head Office policy and in compliance with Home Office requirements.
Experience
- Holding a degree of Human Resources Management or equivalent
- Previous experience within an HR environment (essemtial)
- Previous experience of working within a banking/finance environment (essential)
Skills
- Holding a CIPD qualification or qualified by experience
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
- Skilled user of MS Office
- Knowledge of SMFs and relevant training required
- Mandarin is a plus but not essential
