Job title: Head of Franchisee Technology (Interim)

Salary: £90,000 with additional bonus/allowances up to £120,000

Start: ASAP

Contract: 12 months Fixed Term

Working arrangement: Hybrid working with 2 days in the office

Location: Buckinghamshire

Our client is a support organisation, which is owned by a global retailer and their franchises in Europe. They provide a range of services to support the franchises operations, these cover technology solutions, utilities, internet services, insurance, and much more.

The purpose of this role is to lead Tech and Retail technology teams to develop, implement and support tech solutions and strategic sourcing that benefit the company’s franchisees across the region. You will aim to create a fully integrated lifecycle approach of technology development, implementation, and support across a range of programmes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative ideas across the business.

Responsibilities

• Leading a high performing Retail Technology team including end to end life-cycle management
• Creating a functional strategy aligned to the needs of and the broader business Technology and Digital teams including how tech can provide an increasingly valuable role to franchisees
• Identify and implementing new technology led solutions with focus on lowest cost of ownership, highest levels of up-time and unlocking sources of added value
• External benchmarking, peer engagement and business alignment to ensure we are providing a leading position to franchisees in retail technology landscape
• Embedding world class project manager, strategic sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management processes, and systems

Requirements

• Proven experience of senior level leadership technical expertise in a Retail IT environment (Preferrable within the food franchise sector)
• Experience delivering and managing complex solutions (multi-platform, multi-technology, 3rd parties).
• Previous experience in leading a Technology support function
• Experience in development, QA, Testing, methodologies
• Experience in leading strategic sourcing, contract management and SRM teams
