The role is very varied & you will not only have classic secretarial responsibilities , but you will also look after HR across the school and have OFFICE MANAGEMENT duties. TITLE: ANY LANGUAGE: PA/Secretary to Headteacher & Leadership team
Location : Newcastle
Salary : £25000-£27000
Work Style: Mon-Fri ( ending at 4,30pm on a Friday ). School-based role

Duties: This role has 3 key areas of responsibility 1) PA to the Head Teacher 2) HR duties 3) general office admin
1)PA responsibilities
- Providing admin and PA support to the newly appointed Head teacher
- Diary management
- Producing correspondence and reports as well as completing documentation required by the Dept of Education
- Organising appointments with parents
- Meeting and greeting visitors to the school, arranging refreshments
- Organise and coordinate meetings with individual staff members
2) HR duties
- Creating job adverts for open vacancies
- Advertising roles online or with recruitment agencies
- Arranging all starter packs, employment contracts and managing induction processes
- Liaising with external recruiters
- Undertaking reference checks and checking DBS
- Arranging interviews with key teaching staff
- Overseeing the implementation of the school Health & Safety policy & Safeguarding policies
- Supporting with staff appraisals and training and development
- Organising and carrying out enhanced DBS checks
3) General Office Admin
- Maintaining staff absence and holiday records
- Liaising with office stationery suppliers
- Locating new suppliers where necessary and negotiating prices
REQUIREMENTS
- Free asap
- Previous secretarial experience
- Ms Office skills
- Fluent English . Other languages are always an asset but not essential
