Main purpose of job:
Our client is a leading publishing and events business, they own international food and drink, and industrial global publications. This role will be to manage and run, on a day-to-day, basis, the advertising sales operation on a number of magazine publications within geographical regions: Asia, Middle East, Australia, Germany and UK N-Z alongside agreed house accounts which are to be serviced for advertising within a number of key publications.

Key responsibilities:
*To achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets for advertising sales
*To monitor bad debts on a monthly basis
*To monitor rival publications for market share
*To ensure all sales records and customer details are updated on the sales database including notes and activity for the client.
*To attend requested exhibitions in order to source new business leads for the portfolio within the above outlined geographical region.
*To work as a team and make aware any leads that present themselves outside of territory.
*To search out new sales opportunities
*To be familiar with competitors’ circulation, editorial, rates and readership, and to
*monitor advertising within competitive media.
*To liaise with production department and to be aware of all copy specifications, and to chase copy where necessary.
*To liaise with the editorial department to make sure that the portfolios sales interests are maintained

Requirements
*International sales experience, ideally within publishing, advertising, events, conferences or exhibitions.
*Experience in lead research, generation, and qualification, through outbound calling, events, and follow up on web inquiries
*Education to degree level or equivalent experience (desirable).
*B2B (business to business) business development, telemarketing, or telesales, in a target driven environment
*Excellent communication skills over the phone, with good presentation skills face to face
*English to mother tongue standard, with additional languages desirable but not essential, for example: Arabic or German
