You will join a large-scale International E-Commerce business that is scaling up fast and is looking for an ambitious and talented SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL – IP LITIGATION to help with their planned expansion. The company is already well established in the USA and is planning to conquer Europe.

As a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in IP litigation, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our UK&EU IP/litigation team, ensuring the effective protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights across our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the general counsel to establish a robust UK&EU IP/litigation team.
• Provide expert advice on platform rules and procedures concerning copyright and trademark infringement and protection.
• Handle copyright and trademark-related disputes with rights holders and sellers, resolving conflicts and finding satisfactory resolutions.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive IP protection and enforcement strategy to combat infringements on the platform.
• Apply effective risk management strategies, proactively identifying and addressing potential legal issues.
• Conduct all assignments with integrity, professionalism, and a high degree of responsibility.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• 9+ years of legal practice, including in-house experience.
• Extensive experience in trademark and copyright litigation.
• Preferably, experience in the internet and technology sectors.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to legal challenges.
• Strong ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
