Pay rate: £400 to £500 per day + Holiday pay (PAYE)
Our client is one of the world’s leading entertainment and tech advertising brands. They are looking for a Mid/Senior Creative Art Director.
The conceptual art director is a big idea thinker and should possess a strong track record on TV and social campaigns, print, radio and digital. This person needs to be senior enough to communicate with multiple stakeholders, be relied on to deliver at speed, and have an ability with ambiguity and briefs that evolve with changing business needs.
The candidate should also have clear craft skills, hands on design experience, attention to detail and ability to take TV campaigns from inception through production. They need a great eye for design, be able to visualise their concepts beautifully and create presentations to sell their work internally. They should have good awareness of the best creators, directors and photographers and have experience on film and photography shoots.
Key Responsibilities
- work on the campaigns from the outset focusing on product, target audience and key advertising messages
- Work closely with the copywriter to generate creative ideas and concepts
- Bring concepts and big ideas as a single-creative
- Produce sketches or ‘storyboards’ (television), or ‘roughs’ or ‘scamps’ (print)
- gain an understanding of the target audience and business that the advert is aimed at
- meet with the creative director and executive creative directors, managers before presentations to key stakeholders
- brief other members of the creative team
- create presentation decks and mood boards
- commission photographers, artists, or filmmakers to work on projects
- Attend meetings for directors’ search, casting, production, post-production
- Work in editing suites to oversee the finished product
- Experience working the below media channels: TV/OLV, Social, OOH, Radio, On-site, Outbound
Requirements
- Ideally 5-7 years experience as a creative art director at an agency or in-house advertising team for a big brand
- Must be mac proficient with strong skills using Photoshop, illustrator, keynote, power point
- Experience communicating and reporting to senior stakeholders
- Experience with film and photography shoots (desirable)
- Understanding of the EU locales we work in is a bonus – UK, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Holland, and Italy – either through previous experience working across multi-language campaigns, experience living/ working in any of these countries, or having a second EU language.
