Senior VAT Compliance Analyst
Salary: £256 (PAYE) + Holiday Pay
London – Hybrid
Duration: 3 months Contract (May extend or convert to permanent)

Our client is a global power-brand with a business that requires VAT filings in several jurisdictions across Europe. They are on the hunt for an experienced VAT Analyst with 2 years’ experience in compliance within the finance and accounting department.
The successful Senior VAT Compliance Analyst is full of energy and positive vibes as well as bring their brilliant knowledge of the European VAT to the internal EMEA Tax Compliance Team (The role entails accounting and VAT responsibilities including supporting internal and external audits).
Responsibilities:
* Prepare, review and submit European VAT returns and related filings such as Sales Listings;
* Prepare, review and submit Intrastat returns as necessary
* Assist with VAT registrations across various jurisdictions
* Prepare and submit ESL /ESPL, SAF_T returns as necessary
* Preparation and review of month-end account reconciliations
* Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
* Assist with mapping VAT processes and identify areas for improvement
* Assist with VAT compliance queries across Europe
Preference:
* Minimum of 2 years VAT related experience
* Data analysis (analyse large size of data and provide recommendation)
* Teamwork, tech-savvy, time management, communication (must be articulate in English)
* Italian VAT knowledge is a plus
* Strong knowledge of Excel – manipulation of large datasets, pivot tables, v-look up, formula knowledge is essential
* Degree in Economics, Law or Business Management
