Company: This is one of the most exciting companies to join, and at a pivotal time in their development. This company is looking for a COO to take control of all operational aspects of running this profitable and expanding organisation! The company currently has 20+ restaurants in the UK that operate on a franchise basis and these individual restaurants will source most of the products and services they need (ovens, ingredients, training, general advice etc) from a centralised procurement hub leverages its buying power to get best prices for franchisee clients. The savings made are then passed back to the franchisees in order to help them become more successful
Your role in a nutshell: The COO will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the operational day to day /business activities of all the franchised restaurants in UK and Ireland
- Communicating regularly with franchisee. Analysis of financial data
- Quality monitor: advising on performance issues and assisting them identify where improvements can be made
DUTIES
1) Operational day-to-day Business Support
- Helping franchisees create solid business plans with a view to improving profits
- Developing and then implementing business-building strategies
- Implementing promotions
- Trend identification: Help the franchisees identify new eating-out and menu choices and adapting their offering
2) Communication & analysis:
- Be accessible to franchisees and maintaining an “open door” communications policy
- Ensure that franchisees are aware of contractual obligations and communicating performance KPI’s
- Providing forecasting and planning advice in order to help drive the business forward
- Analysing financial and operations data, including procurement-related information
- Managing budgets and producing P+L ‘s
- Regular reporting to the Director in the head office
3) Quality Monitoring
- Meeting franchisees at their restaurants to assess the condition of the restaurant
- Evaluating the quality of the in-restaurant customer experience. Checking reviews
- Ensuring that all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards are met and surpassed
- Checking that all staff employed have the correct contracts and business terms
- Create staff training schedules depending on the needs of the teams
REQUIREMENTS
- Operational experience within the hospitality industry (restaurants, hotels or catering businesses) in UK
- Team management experience
- Numerate and able to make data-driven recommendations
- A passion for the restaurant sector
- Fluent Mandarin and English (required)
- Car driver (to attend restaurant visits)
