This Role in a nutshell: You will be exposed to a wide range of responsibilities within Financial Accounting, including processing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily System Operations: Manage daily operations of the core financial system, which includes inputting accounting entries and processing inter-bank transactions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Generate various financial reports to meet Chinese regulatory requirements and ensure timely reporting to the Head Office. (Training will be provided)
• Backup Finance Manager: Serve as a backup to the Finance Manager, assisting in producing financial reports to fulfil local regulatory obligations.
• System Support Coordination: Collaborate on finance system support, coordinating with the group to meet reporting and transaction requirements.
• Cross-functional Communication: Engage with other business units within the bank to reconcile the General Ledger, suspense account, and Nostro account.
• Management Reporting: Prepare daily management information reports and monitor management and regulatory indicators.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by the Head of Finance and Accounting.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within a UK financial services industry
• Fluent in Mandarin
• ACCA or any equivalent qualification (or part qualified) is preferred
• Familiar with general ledger functions and experience in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
