Job Title: Motion Designer
Expected duration: 9 months (May extend)
Candidate Pay Rate: £380 – £427.00 per day (PAYE – Inside IR35) + Holiday pay
Location: Central London (Hybrid working with 3 days in office and 2 days from home)
Remote working MAY be considered if you can travel to London occasionally during the contract
Start: Immediate

Our client is a leading global technology business. They’re on the lookout for an experienced motion designer to join them. This is a truly fantastic opportunity to work for one of the world’s most renowned brands.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to produce motion studies and frameworks/systems, present them internally, and create templates that can be reused by future designers, and ideally worked on motion design for projects that primarily featured video or photographic visuals.
Have you worked within (or partnered with as a client) a large organisation before? Large means interacting with and balancing feedback from 10+ partners/stakeholders on a regular basis, if so, this could be the role for you.
On a day to day, you will collaborate with the in-house UX Lead, Art Directors, and Writers to produce compelling video content.
Responsibilities
- Crafting motion behaviours, systems, animations, templates, and frameworks in alignment with our client’s brand and editorial directions
- Rapid iteration on multiple design solutions, prioritising input from multiple feedback providers, and responding to data
- Work strategically with peer and partner UX Designers and Art Directors in an open and collaborative environment
- Lead the definition and communication of motion design guidelines, development best practices and standards
- Adapt core motion primitives to optimise experiences for both existing and emerging customer needs
- Partner with software engineers to leverage the scale offered by our client’s platform without compromising on core experiential principles and customer intent
- Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback
Requirements
- 6+ years of motion design experience
- An exceptional motion design portfolio that demonstrates a range of experience creating innovative design solutions, including projects that used video and photography as a core component.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working with a brand, editorial or other design system; even better, contributing to a motion, editorial or brand design system.
- Experience working with distributed teams, across multiple time zones.
- Experience working with software engineers to bring concepts to life within apps or websites.
