Mandarin/Cantonese: Trade Support

My client, a boutique bond broker, is currently seeking Mandarin/Cantonese speaking young professionals who have a genuine interest in Finance, looking for opportunities to be exposed to a wide range of functions within financial services. Title: Mandarin/Cantonese speaking: Trade Support

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 + bonus

Location: Central London (fully onsite)

Contract Type: Full time

Visa Requirements: PSW/BNO/YM visa holders are all welcome to apply. The client won’t be able to sponsor initially, however, upon the expiry of your current visa, a possibility of sponsorship can be discussed.

The company: It is an institutional credit specialist providing clients with idea-driven trading strategies and relative value credit ideas in investment grade bonds, distressed debt, equities, bank and corporate loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in the front office whole liaising with traders, analysts, and back office
• Making sure all trades settle on time
• Working closely with the fixed-income sales team to support day-to-day trading activity, account management, and trade reporting
• Shadowing team members through client calls and prospecting
• Assisting team in the creation of bond lists
• Working closely with other departments (back office, compliance, and credit)

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of work experience (not necessarily in Fixed Income)
• Fluent in English, Mandarin/Cantonese (essential)
• Solid computer skills and proficiency with Excel is required
• Bloomberg is a plus!
• Possess at least a basic understanding of fixed-income investments and an interest in, or desire to learn about financial markets
• The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
