Delightful role in Account management/Customer care and Sales for a GERMAN speaker in which you will deal with a highly educated audience of Universities and university professors around the UK and also internationally. They will want to advertise their “open” academic vacancies or their PhD research to the right audience and your role is to help them and to promote the right medium to advertise in. There is plenty of client contact in this role and the opportunity to break into publishing. There are also genuine career opportunities for the right person. The role
This is a mixed of Account Management Sales position in which you will be looking after, and nurturing, the academic representatives of various Universities across the UK , and DACH who are looking to recruit new staff and wish to advertise their ” open vacancies” within their department. You will also speak to Academics and PhD students who are seeking to publish a piece of editorial scientific work . Clients include Oxford , Cambridge London and Manchester Universities as well as Universities across Holland, and Belgium
You will work to revenue targets for your territory
Duties
70% a nurturing Customer Care Account/Relationship management role
- “Warm” courtesy calling: Speaking to University professors who are used to dealing with this publication
- Advising on the best time or place to advertise their role or piece of research
- Send out “staying in touch ” emails to remind prospects that you are here to help
- Respond to inbound requests for prices.
- Provide detailed price quotations.
- Send out information on various sponsorship packages.
- Provide administrative support and help teaching staff upload their job vacancies onto the platform.
- Constantly communicate with the Professor and check on the result of his/her advert or the editorial content.
- Advise on additional services that may be helpful such as podcasts or on signing up for editorially led webcasts.
30% new Business development
- Speaking to new contacts across various academic departments
Requirements
- Fluent German
- Degree educated
- Some experience that shows you are happy making outbound cold/warm courtesy calls
- This would suit someone with a previous customer service background, lead generation or market research experience who wants a ” step up” into publishing
