Corporate Accountant
Superb opportunity to join a well-established and fast growing Lloyds Insurance organisation. The purpose of this role is to support the Corporate Financial Controller in meeting the organisation’s objectives within its financial and operational framework, including updating and monitoring of adherence to accounting policies, financial control standards and ensuring their application across the group.
- Manage and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the UK corporate group entities general ledger across all line items. Ensure proper financial controls are implemented and executed.
- Review and sign-off of all monthly UK corporate group entities balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of cash flow projections for all UK corporate entities including preparing PTF reporting and ensuring sufficient cash has been called to meet operational needs.
- Production of the UK Group consolidation on a quarterly basis.
- Oversight of the London and Swansea UK corporate finance teams in the performance of month end closure processes in accordance with established timetables
- Review and support the delivery of the UK group Statutory reporting process including liaising and building strong relationships with key external advisers particularly the external auditors.
- Lead contact for Internal Audit as required and support the UK Corporate Controller on the annual external audit process.
- Manage the monthly and quarterly management information packs reporting requirements.
The successful candidates must have the following skills:
- Qualified Accountant with good experience within Financial Control (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- A good understanding of UK GAAP and specifically Insurance accounting
- Experience of embedding change and process improvement
- Microsoft office applications – advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- SunSystems, Q&A and Cognos IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
