Credit Control Lead

Superb opportunity to join a well-established and fast growing Lloyds Insurance organisation. The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage all credit control activities, and be responsible for strong processes, procedures and controls across the credit control teams, dealing with up to £700M of credit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Credit Controlling is performed to a high standard to include attending regular meetings with internal and external parties.
• Be responsible for the Credit Control of all outstanding balances (under individual accountability) including maintaining the input and timely reconciliation of cash receipts
• Responsibility for the updating of internal Credit Control reports
• Attend regular meetings with the Syndicate Accounting team to effectively target and resolve aged debt issues
• Maintain and promote a strong working relationship with the Syndicate Accounting team to resolve all queries and to improve service level provided and cash flow between all parties.
• Ensure a team approach is taken towards all program business ensuring all settlement requirements are adhered to
• Assist in the co-ordination of historical ledger clean up exercise, liaising where appropriate with individuals both internal and external to the department
• Collaborate with the Finance Operations Manager, Credit Controllers and Operations Manager to support continuous improvement of current processes and controls
• Provide regular support and assistance to Finance Operations Manager
• Report accurate and timely aged debt to committees and the board

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience as a Credit Control lead within a professional services environment dealing with multi-currency high volume payments
• A proven track record of successfully managing internal or external teams to deliver exceptional and sustainable credit control activities
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
