Pay Rate: £250- £330 per day
Job Summary:
My client, who is a world-renowned giant is looking for Food Product Development Manager. The ideal candidate has a very clear understanding of the grocery retail market, food trends and innovation. You will be passionate about food with extensive experience in grocery retail and bringing new products to market. You will be responsible for the development of food products through all stages of the product lifecycle from insight through to product planning, development, specifications, artwork and launch.
Key job responsibilities:
- Managing the development and product lifecycle of their grocery products
- Regular meetings with Vendors (suppliers) to source and develop products
- Competitor benchmarking
- Working closely with cross functional teams, weekly updates and meetings to manage critical path actions
- Simplify processes, maintain frugality and deliver results against commercial guardrails whilst upholding a high-quality bar
- Support in creating and improving processes
Basic qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Culinary Development/Food Product Development from product concepts to full commercialization
- Experience creating and documenting processes and procedures
- Culinary & Food Technology experience/training, preferably in fresh food development
- Experience and knowledge of ingredient functionality
- Experience working in a cross-functional large organization environment
- Experience of converting data and insights into strategic product pipelines
- Experience in end-to-end project management and adherence to critical paths, brand standards
- Experience commercializing diverse products
- Experience with Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint and formula management focused systems
