Pay rate: £10.00 – £11.00 per hour + Holiday Pay
Location: Central London
Our client is an independent financial publishing business, producing magazines, websites, events and research for the high end of the asset management industry. Its audience consists of portfolio managers, institutional investors, private bankers and advisers who specialise in investments. It aims to be the guide for those involved in fund selection, asset allocation and portfolio building. With publications being read in the UK, Europe, South Africa, Middle East and Asia.
As well as publishing products, our client’s sub brands run a series of successful, high-end interactive conferences.
The Role
We are looking for a temporary lead researcher, to do research on Hedge Funds, and possibly contact them to identify the right executive to invite to a bespoke conference being hosted later in the year.
Key responsibilities
* Building relationships with senior Executives from financial institutions via phone & email
* Lead research/generation experience ideally within conferences, events, exhibitions, trade-shows, but other areas will be considered
* Delegate Recruitment: Leverage relationships with fund selectors to attract them to the English and Pan-European events. Work alongside the Relationship manager to ensure target delegate numbers are identified and contacted
* Data: Keep CRM data up to date
Requirements
* English to native standard (both written and spoken)
* A minimum of bachelor’s degree, or strong academic research work experience
* Excellent communication skills via phone and email
* Confident communicating with senior level decision makers
* An understanding of financial markets and investment is advantageous (Desirable but not essential)
* Ability to work under pressure, with great organisational and time management skills
