The Company

The European head office of this global company has just opened its new UK office and is looking for a Chinese speaker to join its team. This company is on a “full-speed-ahead” growth plan and aims to be the very best-in-class in the UK within a year. As the Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the company’s growth strategy and will be responsible for working at both operational and strategic levels to help grow the company quickly and effectively.

There are outstanding career opportunities for the right person in this role, as this is an entirely new UK role and you will have the opportunity to set up an entire department from scratch.

Duties

This is an exciting new opportunity to establish the finance department in the UK.

Help set up all-new Financial processes and compliance standards
Liaise with the HMRC and UK Companies House
Manage UK corporate taxation issues including setting up systems for the declaration of VAT, corporate tax and wages
Month-end reporting and end of year reports
Provide VAT & Tax advice
Ensure the Finance department is UK compliant
Manage the payroll, and process PAYE
You will use Quickbooks accounting software on a daily basis

Essential Qualifications

Degree educated (relevant degree)
Fluent Chinese and English
Previous accounting experience
Familiar with UK Tax
