Mandarin Speaking PR Account Director (Part-time)

Job Title: Mandarin Speaking PR Senior Account Manager / Account Director
Location: Central London
Type: Part-time (3 days a week)
Salary: Basic up to £45K annually and then prorated to reflect the 3 days

The Company:

Our client is a small, specialist PR agency with a focus on Chinese speaking markets. You will look after at least 3 client accounts, manage them, grow the client relationships and ideally also develop new business. You will have the opportunity to work remotely from home and there will be occasional travel to China depending on client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Establish great ongoing relationships with your existing key accounts
• Help to develop and maintain existing relationships
• Meet client face to face in order to understand fully their businesses
• Negotiate and renew contracts with clients
• Work alongside a Director, you will develop Chinese-market marketing and communications strategy for clients;
• Undertake PR campaigns including looking after media relations
• Pitch new stories to Journalists
• Create WeChat and other social media campaigns
• Organise client events
• Work to agreed campaign deadlines
• Prepare presentations, promotional materials and support Director in business development;
• Produce Chinese content for clients
• Create thought-leadership articles
• Write press releases, website copy, WeChat articles, company blogs
• Translation of documents from English to simplified Chinese and vice versa if needed
• Undertake market research and review your clients’ competitor activities
• Liaise with suppliers

Requirements:

• Native Chinese (Mandarin) and English (fluent);
• Degree educated;
• Previous PR agency experience;
• Media contacts in China;
• Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
